This site, situated within the buffer zone of the Bodmin Moor International Dark Sky Park, offers the opportunity for a spectacular experience. Crowdy reservoir and the neighbouring Roughtor are celebrated for their stunning views, regular starling murmurations, sites of historic settlements and beautiful walks.

If you’re looking for a more laid-back experience at the end of a long day, the cottage itself also offers wonderful views. Take a seat in the garden and from there you can see several of the most well known objects in the night sky including Venus in the west; the constellations of Orion, Cassiopeia and Ursa Major (the great bear) in the north and west; and on a clear night the milky way forms a scintillating band across the sky.
